Job Description

As a member of Trek’s Global Trade Compliance team, the Global Trade Analyst will be a leader of trade compliance process improvements driven by data analysis to ensure compliance to trade regulations while facilitating the import and export of shipments. The Global Trade Analyst will facilitate trade opportunities and identify risk for internal business stakeholders.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Drive trade compliance department objectives through the use of trade data analysis and metrics.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain global trade reporting. Establish KPI’s.

  • Support the qualifying of goods for preferential treatment, understanding the rules of origin, bill of materials and manufacturing processes.

  • Enhance and manage global customs broker entry and post-entry audit processes.

  • Support U.S. reconciliation and duty drawback through the collection and maintenance of trade and operations data and related processes.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to embed trade compliance requirements in business processes with a focus on trade data.

  • Act as trade data steward for the company.

  • Identify and implement automated solutions and systems to increase efficiency and mitigate risk.

  • Other requirements to support Trek’s global trade compliance program, as needed or identified.

    Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in international business, supply chain or related field preferred.

  • Advance proficiency with current Microsoft Office and analytics programs including Excel, Access, Power Point, and Power BI.

  • U.S. Customs brokerage license, CCS, CGBP, or CUSECO certification preferred.

  • At least 3 years’ experience in implementing and integrating systemic solutions, managing data, and/or developing organizational data architecture.

  • Experience in trade compliance and/or global logistics in a corporate setting preferred.

  • Must have a strong passion for continuous improvement, desire to learn and be a self-starter.

  • Capable of managing large data sets, analyzing trends and identifying trade compliance risk.

  • Proficiency in ERP, trade management, and transportation management systems. CBP ACE experience preferred.

  • Insatiable business curiosity with a continuous learning engine, seeking opportunities to expand knowledge in data analytics, trade software, and the bicycle industry.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multi-functional teams using trade data and metrics.

  • Ability to work both independently and on teams.

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic; accepts accountability and responsibility for actions.

The compensation range for this role is $80k - $95k, commensurate with experience.
