Microsoft Corporation Community Affairs Coordinator in Singapore

The Datacenter Community Affairs team is part of Microsoft’s datacentre organization – Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I). It supports the growth and operations of Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure by managing relationships with local communities, bringing insights and understanding of potential new communities, developing a local community engagement strategy to effectively manage social impact, risks, and opportunities. It also develops a community investment strategy, including social and environmental programs, in communities that host our datacentres. We are looking for an early in profession individual with a passion for social responsibility (CSR), community engagement, communications and research to support datacentre community affairs organization across the Asia Pacific region.

This role is on hybrid working arrangement with 40% work from home.

Responsibilities

The Community Affairs Coordinator supports a variety of projects for the APAC Community Affairs team, including:

  • Manages existing collaboration tools, supporting the team efficiently work with each other, and with peers globally and in different parts of Microsoft.

  • Collects and analyses data of on-going projects across the region and collates and formats.

  • Consolidates and delivers reports for various internal stakeholders, to be shared across the organization.

  • Supports the APAC community affairs team adopt global tools and processes and helps select best tools to utilize locally when required.

  • Additional responsibilities may include completing special projects as assigned, maintaining and updating tools, researching and preparing reports.

Qualifications

Experiences Required:

  • Ability to work independently as well as a collaborative group.

  • Ability to work across divisional teams.

  • 3-5 years project coordination experience in fast-paced environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Detail oriented and effective organizational skills.

  • Ability to effectively implement and monitor complex plans and schedules.

  • Learn new tools and deliver high quality results on time.

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft collaboration tools (SharePoint, Teams, etc.)

  • Strong working knowledge of email, word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software; with experience using current version of M365 (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) preferred.

  • Proficiency in Japanese is a plus because the role will need to support Japan Market

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
