Manager, Sales Contracts (Account Support) Team - APAC

About our Team

This is an exciting opportunity to join and lead the APAC arm of a newly established global team, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Global Contracting for Clinical Solutions and Global Medical Education.

About the Role

The two greatest focuses of the role are: (1) ensuring that the APAC team’s daily functions proceed uninterrupted in support of meeting all revenue targets. (2) leading the continuous development of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the APAC Clinical Solutions and Global Medical Education Contracts (Account Support) Team. Working in close partnership with the APAC Clinical Solutions and Global Medical Education Sales leadership teams. Also working with parallel EMEALA and NOAM managers and senior Global Contracts Team leadership alike.

  • Managing the teams responsible for contracting and account support process excellence and follow-up for all activities related. The daily activities apply to both new, transactional and renewal sales and customer queries related to the contracting and order management process.

  • Working in cooperation with the other cross-functional stakeholders, such as Contracts Managers, Legal Counsels, Business Controllers and Collections, Product Development. Ensuring the end-to-end sales process is executed in the most efficient and effective way for both Elsevier and the customer.

  • Developing and implementing long-term plans for business continuity and team evolution.

  • Driving alignment on business results, growth, and internal processes across stakeholders.

  • Leading team management, development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Have Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with extensive experience including people management or supervisory experience.

  • Be fluent in English, with secondary languages as spoken in APAC footprint being of

  • value

  • Have excellent organizational abilities and analytical skills.

  • Have great communication and collaboration skills. Be a self-starter who can anticipate business needs and fulfill them in a proactive manner.

  • Have prior experience with Microsoft Office products, including Excel and related reporting functionalities.

  • Have experience in the use of ERP tools like Oracle, SAP, Salesforce.com or Siebel CRM, CPQ and CLM components of Salesforce.

  • Have experience either on the APAC Account Support Team focused on Health Products, or in Management of the Account Support space generally.
