To assist Sales Manager in executing and managing day to day sales and operation activities in accountable Trade lanes to maximize overall vessel utilization.
Develop new accounts while managing and servicing a defined portfolio of local, corporate, regional and cross trade accounts
Service customers to meet their shipping needs and to secure optimal support in terms of Revenue, NTV & Volume (both controlled/uncontrolled). This includes soliciting maximum profitable business from lost & new customers.
May be required to spend up to 10% of time prospecting and meeting customers outside the office through planned sales visits
Maximize cargo loading on vessels and selecting best cargo-mix loading in full ship situation, optimize the use of the assets (ship space & equipment) and applying the principle of yield management.
Monitor and report on competitors’ activities.
Coordinate with various Departments to ensure customers receive quality service from the Group.
Handle sales inquiries and customers’ request for rate quotation.
To meet other goals and objectives set by Head of Commercial and & Trades
Education: Diploma or other tertiary education
Experiences: At least 2 years’ experience in inside/outside sales roles in Shipping
Negotiation skills, strong communication skills, problem solving skills
Product and trasde knowledge will be an added advantage
Computer literate and competent in Excel and Words. Good knowledge of export/import and cross trade shipments and requirements.
