We are looking for an Electrical and Automation Technician be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and automation systems within a warehouse facility. This role will primarily focus on Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) and conveying systems inside our warehouse.

A day in the life of...

• Install, configure, and commission electrical and automation systems parts and material by liaising with vendor, including ASRS and conveying systems, in accordance with engineering specifications and safety standards.

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and general facilities to identify and resolve potential issues before they cause disruptions.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and automation system malfunctions, utilizing diagnostic tools and techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

• Perform repairs and replacements of faulty electrical components, such as motors, sensors, switches, and control panels, ensuring proper functioning of the systems.

• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement modifications or upgrades to existing electrical and automation systems to enhance efficiency and productivity.

• Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory records to where AMM system is in place.

• Adhere to safety compliance and regulations while working with electrical systems, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and standards.

• Review and issue work permits for vendors to perform the maintenance works in a safer working condition.

What Will Make You Successful

• Hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and automation systems, including troubleshooting and diagnostics.

• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and other automation control devices.

• Proven knowledge and experience of electrical principles, automation technologies, and control systems, with a focus on ASRS and conveying systems.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.

• Ability to communicate in both Malay and English.
