What you will do

The RMC scientist will be responsible for leading and managing North America chemical and Self-Care raw material projects for all NPI launches and LCM projects in Kenvue portfolio (Baby, Oral Care, Skin Health, Nutritional, and Self Care). This individual will coordinate Materials activities end-to-end for new materials qualifications and cross-qualifications from other regions, report metrics interacting with and/or leading cross-functional teams regionally and globally:

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead raw material project activities to ensure timely execution and project implementation.

  • May own chemical/Self-Care raw material portfolio and act as liaison with formulators to recommend preferred raw materials

  • Liaison with suppliers to gather information for the project team, define the problem and implement resolution.

  • Support raw material due diligence and forums with cross-functional teams for introduction of New Raw Material/New Supplier and Exceptions of Existing RMs for North America for both chemicals and Self-Care portfolios, promoting the usage of raw materials according to business strategy and ingredients compliance, through RM Global Governance Process.

  • Manage and coordinate low and high complexity projects with cross-functional team and SMEs, prepare documents and report metrics as requested to implement projects.

  • Have a mindset to find opportunities to improve our process/forms/systems/ways of working in a proactive way.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Quality Assurance, Research and Development (R&D), Regulatory, Toxicology, Sourcing and other functional groups as needed.

  • Displays increasing levels of independence at work with the ability to prioritize and manage complexity while working collaboratively with critical stakeholders in the regional or global levels.

  • Ensure accurate information in the systems, according to business strategy and compliance of ingredients, improving system accuracy, proactively discussing portfolio strategy, and ensuring reliable data

Qualifications

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemistry Engineering or related areas is required.

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in research & development or related areas of Cosmetic/Pharmaceutical Industry or Chemical Raw Material Industry.

  • Fluent English.
