We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to oversee and manage our expenses in our dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payments, verifying invoices, and conducting account reconciliations to ensure smooth financial operations. This position offers some amazing benefits such as 401k match, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage. No weekends. In-office work required.

salary: $55,000 - $60,000 per year

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial data related to manufacturing operations.

  • Receive, process, verify, and reconcile invoices for raw materials, equipment, and services.

  • Compare system reports to balances and verify entries for accuracy.

  • Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers, and closely monitor and control petty cash spending.

  • Verify vendor accounts, pay vendors promptly, and proactively resolve purchase order, invoice, or payment discrepancies.

  • Issue purchase order amendments and stop payments as needed to manage procurement processes effectively.

  • Monitor payroll expense claims, including salary advances and overtime payments for manufacturing personnel.

  • Reconcile account transactions with the general ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Perform recordkeeping and prepare financial reports specific to manufacturing activities.

  • Stay informed of regulatory requirements and best practices in accounting within the manufacturing industry.
