Product Tax is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Senior Tax Analyst vacancy, supporting Prudentials retail and institutional businesses. The position requires a team player who is highly organized, adaptable, and flexible, with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously to achieve sustainable results.
The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site. This can be in either our Newark, NJ or Dresher, PA office.
What you can expect:
The Senior Tax Analyst will provide tax guidance to Prudentials Product areas, which include Individual Life Insurance, and Group Insurance and Retirement Strategies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, communicating IRS requirements to business partners, assisting with implementation of new IRS guidance, and ensuring products and services comply with all tax rules. The successful applicant will serve as a liaison between Corporate Tax and the applicable Business Group(s) and support business activity to ensure compliance with the tax rules. Applicants are not required to have product tax knowledge when applying for this position. However, the successful candidate must have a willingness to expand technical tax skills, as well as the flexibility to move from supporting one Business Group to another.

What youll need:
Technical and operational knowledge of the tax rules related to insurance and financial management products, including federal, state and local tax information reporting and withholding rules.
Ability to perform technical research using multiple resources
Solid written, verbal, and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership of assignments and projects as well as within a team structure
Aptitude to learn through independent study and adapt to change
Strong work ethic
Ability to work well with others and display objectivity in difficult situations
Organized and flexible
Understanding of risk management and/or compliance concepts
Project management skills
Bachelors degree or at least 6 years of experience working in a Prudential operation, product, legal, compliance or risk area.

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $97,300.00 to $144,900.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits.
