Raytheon is currently seeking a Radar Maintainer to support the Surveillance Radar Program, (SRP) operation in Taiwan. The successful candidate will join a team of engineers in a challenging assignment at a remote location. He/she should be familiar with large, phased array radar installation and testing and should have a good working knowledge of engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and procedures. An ideal candidate would also have skills in System Administration and Cybersecurity, as the team performs various duties in support of the mission.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

Work with the team resolve equipment anomalies.

Execute monthly preventative maintenance as defined in program technical manuals.

Provide technical advice to Taiwan Air Force maintainers as required.

Acquire and maintain a valid in-country driver’s license for commute from housing to the radar facility.

Acquire and maintain an alien resident card (ARC).

Attend turnover meetings during shift changes.

Work 12-hour shifts, 10 days every two weeks.

Basic Qualifications:

Hold and maintain and active Secret Clearance

Knowledge of the interpretation and use of diagnostic tools and equipment related to electrical systems and equipment.

Maintaining and operating assigned equipment in accordance with the latest technical documentation.

Generating and documenting changes to technical documentation and operations processes.

Working knowledge of operating systems security features and settings (e.g. Windows, and Linux).

General knowledge of procedures performed by network Systems Administrators.

Knowledge of communications systems, such as ethernet and fiber optic transmission systems.

Basic skills in troubleshooting, maintaining a radio frequency transmit & receive system to include receiver/exciters, amplifiers, antenna elements, transmit/receive modules, cabling, RF splitters and combiners.

Complete operating checklists and report status of the operating equipment.

Maintaining equipment operating logs.

Professional demeanor, good interpersonal skills, and ability to excel in a high-paced multi-tasked environment.

Demonstrated ability to act independently, prioritize tasks, and manage to a schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of the various procedures performed by a Systems Engineer when acting as an operator to a large Phased Array Radar.

Provides detailed mission planning support for planned test events and real-world radar tasking.

Provides Engineering oversight for SRP Operators/Radar Field Engineers (Electrical/Mechanical).

IAT Level II or greater (e.g. Security+ CE) cybersecurity certification.

Experience in System Administration with Information Systems Security/Information Assurance, Security Engineering.

Experience with security authorization packages and related artifacts.

Experience supporting various computer hardware platforms and multiple operating systems in both stand alone and LAN/WAN configurations.

Experience performing cybersecurity driven vulnerability management.

Experience working in a remote environment for extended periods.

Familiar with Raytheon practices regarding technical documentation.

Prior experience in Radar System performance analysis or Radar Operations.

Required Education:

A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience .

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
