Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Servicing & Collections Team Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in debt collection and leadership skills to effectively manage and inspire a Servicing & Collections team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of collection associates to achieve collection targets and objectives.

  • Manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts and initiate collection efforts to recover outstanding debts.

  • Conduct daily portfolio analysis, work allocation, team monitoring, and performance management.

  • Call auditing, scoring, and having one-on-one training with junior associates

  • Develop and implement collection strategies and action plans to optimize recovery rates and reduce delinquency.

  • Conduct regular meetings and training sessions to update team members on collection policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Review and analyze collection data and metrics to identify trends, improvement areas, and optimization opportunities

  • Check on staff attendance, timelines, and leave planning.

  • Collaborate with other departments such as legal, compliance, and customer service to address complex issues and resolve escalated cases.

  • Handle escalated customer inquiries and complaints, and provide resolution in a timely and professional manner.

  • Ensure the team collections procedures are ethically upright and are in line with Branch and CBK policies and regulations

  • Motivate team members through teamwork and ensure productivity and that they are fully engaged.

  • Conduct thorough investigations to locate and contact debtors using various communication channels.

  • Review and analyze account information to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Prepare reports and updates on collection activities, recovery rates, and portfolio performance for management review

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

  • Proven experience in debt collections, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong knowledge of debt collection laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with debtors and internal stakeholders.

  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in using collection software and MS Office applications
