Responsibilities

The Technician is accountable for the comprehensive servicing of life rafts and associated equipment, encompassing initial inspections, testing, disassembly, repairs, parts estimation, packing, and finalizing work order documentation. The role involves overseeing production and repair processes, ensuring product quality, managing shop equipment, and monitoring inventory of necessary parts and materials. Additionally, the Technician ensures the availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and promptly reports any shortages or equipment malfunctions to the department lead or Repair Station Manager. As a safety-sensitive position, the Technician conducts inspections, repairs, overhauls, and assemblies following guidelines outlined in Component Maintenance Manuals and applicable drawings. This role also involves performing other assigned tasks related to equipment servicing and maintenance.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time
