Google Senior Accountant Manager (Spanish, English) in Mexico City, Mexico

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).

  • 10 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 8 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.

  • Experience building, developing, or leading a team.

  • Ability to communicate in Spanish and English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience implementing, designing, and testing processes and controls for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) transformation projects.

  • Experience leading complex process improvement projects and influencing and managing stakeholder relationships.

  • Experience applying statistical methods, SQL, and dashboard design.

  • Excellent project management and data analysis skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

The Finance Operations team manages Google's cash transactions on a global basis and ensures that Google's incoming and outgoing cash processes are controlled, effective and efficient. As a member of this team, you'll find innovative ways to manage our complex set of transactions. You'll make processes more efficient and scalable, work to ensure the highest level of quality of our operations, and proactively minimize operational risk. Externally, you collaborate with our extended workforce partners and internally, you will collaborate across the multiple areas of the Financial Operations team.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

  • Be responsible for cost accounting operations for Google Technical Infrastructure area which is increasing in size and complexity due to machine learning demands.

  • Work towards constant improvements of Google Fixed Assets (gFA) processes to drive higher quality standards in the fixed assets register, reconciliations, and reporting produced for local audits and close reporting.

  • Prepare and present financial information to different audiences, including finance leaders, business partners, auditors, and regional accountants.

  • Support system implementations as a subject matter expert in fixed assets and cost accounting.
