Assist the Opex Purchaser with the research, negotiation and implementation of contracts for CHE Components and OPEX at the best quality and lowest cost. Cost to include TCO and both external and internal costs of material, labor, shipping, financing, packaging, scheduling, etc
Comply with the procurement process in terms of Business Ethics, Sustainability, Export Control, CMA CGM’s Safety Security Environment Management System, any other internal procedures and regulations. Apply the best practice defined from the purchasing department
Research potential vendors
Obtain quotations and summarize the various offer received
Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
Collect data necessary for budget, inventory TCO studies and return of experience.
Resolve supplier issues relating to quality, delivery and pricing
Propose any improvement cost saving through the supplier and regional area knowledge
Cooperate with terminal technical staff, SSE, engineering and other departments in the development of equipment and product specifications and proposals.

Education and required skills:
Understand total cost of ownership; identify and pursue areas for cost savings
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good negotiation purchasing & procurement negotiation skills
Strong team player.
