Description

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team based in Knoxville, Tennessee. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting duties, including journal entries, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial analysis. This role is crucial in supporting the Controller and contributing to the overall financial operations of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries in a timely and accurate manner.

• Conduct month-end close procedures, ensuring all financial data is captured and reported correctly.

• Manage account reconciliations, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations, to ensure financial accuracy.

• Prepare for audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and information is available for auditors.

• Perform financial analysis to support decision making within the company.

• Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and propose corrective actions.

• Work with Profit and Loss (P& L) statements to analyze financial performance.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Handle tasks related to General Ledger and MS Great Plains Dynamics.

• Use your University Degree in Accounting or Finance and your 3+ years of experience to contribute to the success of our team.

Requirements • Must hold a University Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Strong knowledge of General Ledger maintenance and Journal Entries

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Great Plains Dynamics

• Strong experience in Month End Close procedures

• Capable of performing Financial Analysis and Variance Analysis

• Proficient in managing Profit and Loss statements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
