Citigroup Custody Product / Relationship Manager (Hybrid) in Istanbul, Turkey

Custody Product / Relationship Manager role is an intermediate management level position that reports to the Turkey Custody Country Head. The Product Manager is responsible for supporting the Custody Country Head in all aspects of Custody business. Additionally, this role will be responsible for managing the local relationship of a designated client portfolio consisting of prominent international financial institutions in coordination with the regional Coverage and Product Management teams. The overall objective of this role is to deliver superior client service satisfaction through the proactive management of custody and clearing services delivery, promotion of related products, ensuring sound risk and control environment, and maintain the current large scale of business, and support growth and profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the relationship for designated Custody client portfolio in conjunction with global coverage and products partners.

  • Act as escalation point for operational or service issues and manage/coordinate all key issues for the client up until resolution.

  • Oversee the service delivery by operations to designated Custody client portfolio to ensure high quality of client experience.

  • Contribute to the achievement of acquisition targets, product financial performance goals.

  • Coordinate and ensure a smooth migration/implementation process for the new Custody client acquisitions.

  • Market advocacy - work closely with market infrastructures and regulators, participate in the industry events to represent Citi Custody business.

  • Develop and maintain industry knowledge and inform clients of ongoing market developments/initiatives; prepare formal & informal communication to customers.

  • Monitor the trends and revenue targets of the designated client portfolio; Contribute the information to the Custody Country Head for the regular management reviews and processes.

  • Identify opportunities for cross sell opportunities and work together with the Custody Country Head and regional Product/Coverage partners to position with the client.

  • Adopt into personal and business performance: 1-proactivity, 2-end to end ownership, 3- effective communication.

Qualifications:

  • Over 5-8 years of relevant experience in client relationship or product management.

  • Advance level of English language knowledge.

  • Turkish language skills would be preferred.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.

  • Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
