Description

The Field Agronomist will be responsible to support commercial team, distributors and growers in terms of technical & commercial use of current technologies; fosters best agronomic practices in the field, the product portfolio management, and multiple issues by being the technical face of Corteva onwards. This role will generate demand for Corteva solutions throughout training commercial teams, do successful launchings and develop best in class field trials and demoplots. He/she will report to the Agronomy Leader, having a very close interaction with CPD&D, Marketing, Sales teams among other departments. Main duties besides demand generation include to position Corteva as the most technical company in the market facilitating and leading agronomic research, integrated agronomic management and the interaction of multiple disciplines like crop protection, seeds and biologicals.

Activities

• This position retains a deep understanding regarding agricultural techniques, products, and technological advancements that improve the portfolio productivity, methods of creating efficiency and economic benefit for growers and channel partners, all of which are centered on Corteva integrated strategies.

• Responsible for managing crop protection portfolio, competitor value proposition and brand positioning. It is a plus to manage Seeds and Biologicals markets.

• Responsible for people trainings and product positioning with sales teams, interaction with key distributors, lead programs, manage growth projects and support the Local product Concept Team (LPCT) on value creation and sales / margin results.

• The Field Agronomist will have deep knowledge of all applicable Corteva products and technologies and how these can be complement end user practices.

• The Field Agronomist position will actively participate in design, communication, and implementation of integrated portfolio solutions in multiple crops.

• Crop expertise delivered through this role will be customer centric, utilizing a coordinated approach through internal and external partners. This role is key to identifying, communicating, and stewarding positive, measurable technical attributes of our products and portfolio for the market by providing technical guidance, collateral support, and facilitation of new product launches.

• Own the development and delivery of Corteva's product, agronomic solution in the field, as necessary for maximum demand and value creation.

• Act as technical representative of Corteva within the most relevant agronomic forums in the countries and the crops assigned.

Qualifications

• Master's degree/engineering degree in an agriculture-related field or equivalent experience.

• Full English proficiency.

• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in AG industry (prefer job-related work experience).

• Significant background and/or education in crop protection or related field.

• Strong understanding of seeds and the financial drivers of a grower's business.

• Deep technical knowledge and understanding of the seeds market, its production and critical agronomic and other inputs that enable maximization of yield and return on investment.

• Demonstrates strong communication/persuasive skills.

• Ability to maintain current business and develop new business.
