Amazon Web Services is looking for a Solutions Architect to help customers accelerate their adoption of the Microsoft workloads on AWS. This is an excellent opportunity to help customers understand best practices for Microsoft technologies on AWS, migrate their existing workloads, and advise them on building resilient cloud architectures. You’ll also work with the AWS Service Teams to help continuously improve the Microsoft Platform on AWS. Your broad responsibilities will include: owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects; defining implementation architectures, responding to RFPs, developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform; and being a subject matter expert on Microsoft technology Stack as it relates to customer end-to-end solutions and services. In addition, you will engage with other solutions architects, partner and professional services organizations do drive large and highly complex sales opportunities to closure.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Basic Qualifications

• • 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• • 3+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• • 2+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge and/or experience in any of the following:

• • Datacenter migration, especially involving Windows Servers and complex Windows workloads, Designing or managing a large SQL Server implementation
• • Knowledge of .NET Programming (C#) and/or life cycle application management (knowledge of CI/CD including common technologies like Azure DevOps, Git and Jenkins)
• • Knowledge of cloud services, cloud native design and/or cloud implementation experience
• • Knowledge of microservices and application modernization techniques
• • Knowledge of Microsoft licensing and common licensing deployments alongwith infrastructure management platforms like WSUS, SCCM,SCOM
• • Managing highly available data center operations with responsibility for infrastructure robustness, including networking, server hardware and storage application, server, and network security
• • Knowledge of the AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals.
