Job Description

In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales.

The role will be a technical project manager to work with all Safran Seats BUs to implement EASA's new requirement of Part IS (Information Security) including the Cyber Security. The Part IS

requirements are applicable for all Safran Seats Functions including Engineering, Operations, Aftermarket, IT, Supply Chain and Quality.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare the ISMM (Information Security Management Manual) and ensure coordination with the design, production and maintenance manuals.

  • Define the methodology for documenting IS risks and their impact on product security.

  • Define the information methodology internally and at the Authority for IS risks and events having an impact on product security, as well as archiving.

  • Define the process for providing our suppliers and partners with the requirements linked to this regulation.

  • Propose and have Safran SEATS Management validate the organization of the ISMS

  • Define the continuous improvement process of our organization.

  • Identify existing potential risks and their impacts. Risk analysis to be carried out in a broad manner and will be completed if necessary, formalized under GR2, then updated, including during the implementation phase.

  • Manage the implementation of risk treatment solutions already identified or future when they have an impact on product safety. Coordinate with SAFRAN IS teams to develop set of tools and solutions to identify, collate and manage IS risks and record the performance of Part IS activities.

  • Define methods of communication and staff awareness.

  • Define the process for developing documentation relating to ISMS in connection with Group procedures.

  • Propose a company charter on IS risk management related to aviation safety.

  • Identify relevant indicators to monitor the effectiveness of the organization

Job Requirements

A degree graduate Engineer or higher in Electrical/Electronics, IT, Computer Science with good understanding of Information Systems

Minimum of 10 years' experience in aviation industry

Experience of Leading Projects & Project team(s)

Basic understanding of aviation regulations & requirements

Familiar with EASA's standards/regulations related to either Part 21 (Design & Production Organizations) and Part 145 (Maintenance Organization)

Knowledge of Software Development & Systems Security

Understanding of Cyber Security & its importance in aviation
