Pay range is $38 - $45 / hour

 Actual pay will be dependent on your skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements.

You Will:

  • Assist Engineering team with automation project installations/implementations and perform complex system tests.

  • Establish field test methods for monitoring the quality of the automation implementation.

  • Perform preventative maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and maintaining of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, PLC/HMI systems, and control cabinets.

  • Maintain current documentation of all electrical and controls systems including device hardware and software.

  • Manage material handling control systems, industrial, motor control systems, servo and frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems.

  • Assist as needed Industrial Maintenance Technicians in troubleshooting and repair of all assigned site MHE.

  • Review PLC control flow of equipment and monitor uptime & downtime metrics.

As an Lead Industrial Controls and Automation Technician , you have:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience mechanical, electrical, automation controls experience designing, trouble shooting, and servicing robotics, conveyors, PLC systems, sortation systems, and other automated material handling equipment (MHE) preferred.

  • An AA degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, Electronics, Computer Science or related field of study is preferred.

  • Knowledge of electrical controls, including programming electrical codes required.

  • Ability to program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) programs and modify software programs for material handling control systems, including Allen Bradley Controllogix and Compactlogix PLC platform utilizing RSLogix 5000 software package and Siemens Solutionline/Poweline drives.

  • 3-5 years industrial 120v/480v electrical experience reading schematics/blueprints and wiring motors/panels required.

  • Knowledge of Ladder Logic and Structured Text programming.

  • Experience with Motor Control systems (motor starts, servo drives, variable frequency drives (VFD), and AC/DC drives like PowerFlex, Altivar, and Sinamics is preferred.

  • Experience with HMI design and implementation tools like FactoryTalk View, Wonderware InTouch, and Ignition HMI packages.

  • Experience with Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, Profinet, Profibus.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word & PowerPoint to drive communication to internal & external stakeholders.

  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) preferred.

  • Willingness to learn and utilize scissor and boom lifts and other manual and automated MHE to perform daily duties required.

  • Excellent problem solving, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Excellent problem solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems, read schematics, establish priorities, and work under deadline pressures.

  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs., walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodations.
