Posting Summary | The Administrative Assistant for Behavioral Health in the Rutgers University-Camden Student Wellness Center (RSWC) is responsible for providing general administrative support for the Behavioral Health division. This includes general reception duties for the office, including greeting visitors, answering/directing phone calls, processing incoming and outgoing mail, abiding by university 's policies, and other administrative duties as assigned. This position also provides administrative support to RSWC staff, including pre-screening patients for potential services. This position works directly with students and staff of RSWC and assists them in accessing the resources they need. The Administrative Assistant will manage patient documentation and maintain patient and clinical records, manage the patient waitlist, and may follow up with psychological patients on their care, as needed and based on the level of need. Additionally, this position coordinates schedules, manages the use of office space and additionally evaluates clinician schedules to ensure adequate coverage of in-office personnel. This position also provides administrative support to the Rutgers University-Camden food pantry; duties may include working with food pantry patrons, coordinating inventory, storage and deliveries, and assisting with producing work assignments for student employees. |

Work Arrangement | Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position requires a fully on-site work arrangement and may be eligible for a compressed workweek or a flex workday schedule. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, are subject to change or cancellation and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the FlexWork@RU Application System. The candidate selected must function as a team player in a multidisciplinary staff, have excellent communication skills and computer literacy. Candidates should have knowledge of information security and privacy laws/policies and an ability to manage confidential data. Previous experience working with electronic medical records. |

Physical Demands and Work Environment | This position will frequently be required to lift and move items up to 25lbs. The environment will be fast-paced, so an ability to be flexible, and multi-task will be necessary. At times, the role can be high stress, and will deal with sensitive situations. There should be an expectation of managing difficult conversations and situations with students and at times, parents of students. |
