The Opportunity:

L3Harris is building upon a legacy of trusted performance to deliver new programs and capabilities in the Space, Cyber and Airborne Domains. This includes technologies such as Space Surveillance, Position Navigation & Timing and Missile Defence. Within Australia, L3Harris Space and Airborne Systems Australia (SASA) is leveraging their sovereign Electronic Warfare design and manufacture experience to support these programs, to grow an ecosystem of Australian Electronic Warfare capability which is underpinned by trusted relationships with customers and industry partners alike.

L3Harris SASA is hiring a Campaign Manager as part of the Business Development team to co-ordinate a range of captures in line with the business strategy. The campaign manager will be responsible for:- Developing, and then leading, the execution of the strategy for their specific campaign

  • Working with customers to identify new and emerging opportunities

  • Leading diverse teams from across the L3Harris business to deliver on specific captures within their campaign

  • Supporting the broader capture & proposal process

    Campaigns are in line with the strategic direction of the business and typically relate to key domains within Defence such as Guided Weapons, Cyber, Space, Maritime, Air or Land. Deep experience of any potential applicant within any of these specific domains or within any Electronic Warfare program will be highly regarded.

    What the role will involve

    The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

    • Act as the Campaign Manager for a range of Defence related opportunities, managing L3Harris SASA’s interaction with extant and future projects to win new business.

    • Lead various captures of L3Harris SASA opportunities within the campaign.

    • Support the wider L3Harris Business capture of Land, Sea, Air and Space EW and associated opportunities in Australia and the Asia-Pacific.

    • Support the Route to Market of all L3Harris products for Acquisition and Sustainment projects in Australia and the Asia-Pacific.

    • Evaluate the current market dynamic, competitor landscape, government regulation and potential opportunities; to define a clear, executable direction for the business in the immediate and long term.

    • Demonstrate a high level of strategic insight, commercial acumen and inquiry, and the ability to work in a fast paced, innovative environment.

    • Provide analysis, financial modelling and strategic insights for business cases and strategic planning.

    • Evaluating and generating where necessary targeted Merger and Acquisition pipeline, provide strategic rationale for chosen targets, corporate level justifications and lead subsequent diligence as appropriate.

    • Instrumental for new initiatives and partnerships, monitoring and managing joint ventures and strategic partnership arrangements.

    • Accountable for generating incremental revenue through identification and pursuit of major new business ventures.

      What you’ll bring

    The role requires the following experience and skills:

    • Possess a strong strategic and analytical orientation coupled with exceptional communication skills as well as a highly developed collaborative nature.

    • Strong interpersonal skills combined with the experience in managing relationships with customers and colleagues.

    • Be a natural collaborator with an ability to establish and maintain lasting relationships both internally and externally.

    • Be a strong communicator, both verbally and in written form.

    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

    • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

      Desirable:

    • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Management or Technical discipline.

    • A veteran with Electronic Warfare or related experience from the Australian Defence Force

    • Experience of working with Government organisations and international customers.

    • An understanding of Australian and International Defence contracting and export regulations including ASDEFCON, DFAR, Defence Export Control, and ITAR.

    • Capture and Proposal management experience
