ABOUT THE ROLE

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) Manager to join the team. Based in Auckland, the key focus of this role is to champion a safety culture within the business and work closely with production and warehouse staff to advise and support on all QSHE-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting leaders at all levels to drive health and safety, environment, and quality culture across the organisation.

  • Ensuring the effective development, application, monitoring and reporting of the QSHE, risk management and quality programs in accordance with legislation.

  • Report on ASSA ABLOY New Zealand’s performance across QSHE internally and externally within our division.

  • Lead internal and external auditing.

  • Regularly review and set objectives for QSHE systems and recommend strategy to the Senior Leadership team.

  • Ensure there are systems across QSHE to effectively deal with non-conformances and scrutinise investigations and corrective action plans.

  • Establish and review associated Policies and Procedures

    ABOUT YOU

    The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and takes initiative with a growth mindset. You are solutions oriented with a hands on approach to problem solving.

    Further, you will have demonstrated:

  • 3 years previous experience in a similar role

  • Manufacturing, FMCG or construction experience will be highly regarded

  • Technical understanding to be able to operate, train others and troubleshoot issues, plus adjust as required.

  • Well-developed emotional intelligence to communicate to all levels of the business

  • Previous experience in continuous improvement culture

  • Strong numeracy skills and computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Power BI

  • High regard for all levels of sustainability, health, safety, and compliance
